Wildlife Conservationist & TV Host Jack Hanna Visits Fiji's Wild Side
American wildlife conservationist and TV host Jack Hanna recently visited Fiji and had nothing but great reviews of the Pacific Island destination. “I have traveled to many places in the world, but I have never met any culture of people where everyone had a smile on their face and always happy. Fiji is the safest country in the world,” said Hanna. The TV host will produce four TV shows about Fiji for “Jack Hanna’s Into The Wild,” a nationally syndicated TV show that reaches 1 million viewers per week. Hanna and the 10-member crew were invited to Fiji as part of Fiji Islands Visitors Bureau Americas 2008 Media Visitation Program. With a target of more than 84,000 visitors for the United States/Canada this year, and the kind of press coverage received in the first quarter boosts our confidence in increased awareness of Fiji ," said Fiji Islands Visitors Bureau Marketing Director Cherrill Watson. The crew visited and filmed in leading tourist regions of Fiji, including Nadi, Vatulele, Savusavu, Toberua, Pacific Harbor, Coral Coast and the Mamanucas.
