Another call center to relocate to Fiji

Crown Diamond, a jewelry company based in Fullerton, California is looking to relocate its back office activities to Fiji to improve its overall operation. Ambassador Vitusagavulu and Trade Commissioner Vuidreketi met with senior executives of the company Ana Alonso and Bob Ristow on Thursday May 4th to discuss the planned relocation.

The envoys explained to the executives the benefits of relocating to Fiji. They include abundance of well educated English-speaking workers, competitive wages, low rental cost, optic fiber link with the US, and a stable and pleasant business environment.

The executives will visit Fiji soon make arrangements for the establishment of the call centre as they target a June start date.

In welcoming the initiative Ambassador Vitusagavulu said that the company will join several companies that have decided to set up call centers in Fiji including the Dallas-based Affiliated Computer Services that does ticket coupon processing for Qantas & Air New Zealand.
